Autumn's Concerto Review.

Hello Everyone! Today's review is going to be Taiwanese drama called Autumn's Concerto starring Vanness Wu as Ren Guang Xi and Ady An as Liang Mu Cheng. To start off about this drama here's a little summary. Walking into this drama you'd think that it would be one of those sweet little high school romances, but they're in college and that's not even the main part. The show bases on a lot more of what happens after they graduate going into their late 20's. Due to many horrifying events that brought them closer and farther. In many other summaries they've just said that these two lovers grew up, then at one point lost their luxury living and went into poverty. This focuses more on the girl, she had a sad life and is going to go through much much more. The reason they don't tell you the "much more" is basically because it gives away a lot. To be honest though, I think the summaries from what I read don't tell you any main parts of the story, but rather the little things that MIGHT get you interested. Basically, back to the topic it's a story of two people trying to be together, but are having difficulties from the hills in their relationship. When I say hills, I refer to mountains as well. Alright guys, now the review part. If you haven't watched the show already then you should stop reading here. If it spoils the drama for you then I guess I'm sorry. Starting off, basically we are going into two people that fall in love and that's the basic. This guy is the principles son who is basically a rebel. A rebel for a reason. Like every other typical bad boy out there in a drama or a manga you'll come to find out that they have some deep reasoning and then a girl comes across his life and 'changes' him. I find this very typical; something that happens A LOT in many stories. She changes him they fall for each other. She's 'different' from the rest. We've come across this story before. The thing is this little college romance happens around the first 5 episodes. They basically threw a lot at you. When you first watch the show the first few minutes her dad's already dead, shes forced to move into poverty with her step mom, and the step mom finds a new man who is not trust-able. I think that it was somewhat weird and absurd that they made her childhood breeze by within a few minutes. Be aware that throughout this drama they throw problems at you. If you are more on the happy side of dramas and you want more happy then sad I suggest you d not watch this drama BECAUSE many times while I was watching this drama I shed a lot of tears wishing something good would happen to this girl, but it just never did happen so if you are okay with lots and lots of drama then you should be able to watch this with ease. If you're more on the happy comedic side just know there are some happy times, but rarely will you see it. The first few episodes of this drama will be based on their love, but as you go on it doesn't just stay on that it focuses more on the things around this couple. Like most dramas she's poor he's rich. He has a mom who does not accept the relationship. Just know, that in the future you should start loving the mom because she does change her ways, but was also a good person from the start. Then a dramatic accident happens where he has a tumor and he breaks it off with the girl so she can hate him and forget him because he believes he wants to die and she would be able to move on. What I find ridiculous here is that, if you love someone hell no would I want them to forget me. You'll probably say it's cause I'm young and haven't witnessed love just yet. Lets be honest though, she loves him deeply. Him not telling her this situation actually makes him the bad guy for thinking their love could just go in the trash so easily. Then he is persuaded to get the surgery. Let me give you a reminder of what happened before that. The mom told her to go away before the surgery and she was pulling a trick on her own son to get the more better surgery, disobeying what he wanted. Then he realized this trickery and ran after Mu Cheng who is driving away into the country side to hide. Then when she left him thinking it was the best for him, HE GOT STABBED. Like are you kidding with me? The psycho step dad of hers decides to stab him instead of her? Are you kidding me? Like things couldn't get less realistic. He is in his hospital clothes and stabbed in the middle of the street. Now that's just not what you see in a regular basis. Then we find out SHES PREGNANT with his son. Years later Mu Cheng  gave her son lies that his dad is an alien which the little boy Xiao Le is much smarter and already knows what's up. Guang Xi has forgotten his memory and so his mom and fiancee played around with his life and fitted it to their liking. Which that is just a bitch move. Then again they didn't know except the damn mom that he had a lover. No one knew about the son though. Now Guang Xi is a new man with a new life. Yet, he still gets those flashbacks. Then as a lawyer he has to help this little town that's opposing his new father-in-law. So coincidentally it happens to be the town Mu Cheng is in. Are you joking with me? They are past each other, living new lives, yet some sort of 'destiny' or 'fate' thing has come across us. What I really found ridiculous is that they meet, but not actually 'meet' again in the exact same way. His car in front of her bus. Yeah, that just magically happens. Then he starts loving the people in this town and becoming close with everyone and so he dug a hole for himself which is his own damn fault. After this whole problem ends, he finds out all the memories again from a puzzle that came from the past. Then coincidentally again it's on the night before his wedding. I thought that he'd finally realize his love for Mu Cheng, but no he promises to ruin her live and take her son Xiao Le away from her when she was the one who nurtured him all his life. Let's be honest though, he still had a little something something for Mu Cheng. Then you know they witness their love for one another and fall in love. This is going too be a small problem, but I thought would've been big. She got stabbed trying to protect him like how he got stabbed for her, yet they just swooped that aside when I thought that should have made him realize how much she cares. Here was my problem with the story, that there were too many problems that it seemed so unrealistic and untrue. Like those things were every going to happen. Then again, it's a drama these things are suppose to be dramatic. I'm sorry I couldn't go over many of the little problems, but I felt I needed to address the ones that I did. My rating for this drama is a 3 out of 5.
